When a client collects art or objects, I often use that as my springboard for steering the design process. In this case it was the Hindu artwork my clients purchased on their yearly trips to India. I was given carte blanche to make selections that inspired my design concept.

The home is a sprawling contemporary with a generous living and dining room at the far end. My clients wanted the rooms to feel festive, with plenty of seating and serving areas for their weekly Sunday afternoon gatherings after Temple. When Sunday arrives, the tables are laden with the most beautiful and aromatic dishes. The Indian cooking spices were also a major player in developing my color palette. Two of my favorite product finds for this project were the slipper chairs covered in a fabric called Lotus (how perfect is that?) and the mandarin orange lucite chairs for the breakfast nook.
